Our church building is going to get destroyed next month and rebuilt during the next year which means that we have to find a Casa Capilla (I’m not real sure how to say that in English). It will be fun to be back in a Casa Capilla!!
We had a baptism this past Saturday of a very very very brave young man. Jean Soza is seventeen years old and has had quite the journey in getting ready for his baptism. He has been investigating the church for over a year due to an invite from a friend to attend church. After feeling that what we believe is true the next step was to obtain permission from his parents in order to be baptized. His parents didn’t want to give permission because they hadn’t seen much of a change in him. He began attending seminary as well as the activities for the youth. With the help of his church friends he was able to stop drinking as well as use drugs. I have only know him for about a month and seeing him now I couldn’t have ever guess that he use to be involved with those things. He has come a very long ways and has a very strong testimony of the Gospel.
We had to change Zinos baptism for the twenty-ninth because of a work issue but we visited him last night and we found him more than happy, a little discouraged that he won’t be able to get baptized this week but excited that he will only have to wait one more week.
