Our Museum Tour

Monday for our PDay we went to the center of Lima to go visit a few museums. We went to the Convent of San Francisco. It is one of the many Catholic Cathedrals here in Lima but the thing that sets this one apart is that it houses the catacombs where the victims of the Spanish Inquisition are. We have an investigator who works there giving tours who made arrangements to visit free of charge and he led our zone on a tour. Lets just say that it was a whole lot of Apostasy thrown right at us. I had always read about these kind of catacombs but to actually be there seeing all of the bones and mass graves was really somehting different. We took advantage of the opportunity to teach our investigator, Elvis Torres, about the great apostasy and how with out the divine guidance of a prophet confusion covers the earth and things like the Spanish Inquisition happen. It was a great hands on lesson you could say. We also visited the Presidents Palace and the main square in down town Lima.
