Soccer and Address Fun

I´m sure you already knew that soccer is a HUGE thing here and it is even bigger in Iquitos. We are never able to get a member to come on visits with us Saturdays because it is Saturday Night Soccer. Everyone one shuts down and goes to the nearest television set and watches soccer. We love Saturday nights because everyone is home and it is a really good way to see which members we can count on for support. For the most part the Priesthood of the ward won´t leave the TV set but they send their wives to talk with us. It’s funny how people think but its just one of those little quirks that we have to learn to deal with and make the most of it. Oh by the way Peru usually gets beat so I’m not real sure what the big deal is with watching them, lol.

Another really fun challenge that we have here is trying to navigate the roads and paths. There is no organization and most of the addresses we have are in correct. We make a ton of contacts with people who we thought lived at the address we are trying to search. We will walk down a street and the address will go something like this: 112, 358A, Mz. B Lt. 97, AB56. Yeah it’s great, hopefully by the end of the change I will know how to get around and then with my luck I will get transferred.
