Power and Authority

Our Conference with Elder D. Todd Christofferson and Elder L. Whitney Clayton was very special and motivating. Bishop Richard C. Edgley also accompanied them which was an added bonus. It was held in the CCM and that was my first time being back since I left it in January 2008. I ran into one of the maintenance workers which was one of my good friends while I was there. (Brother Bernard) Bishop Edgley talked about the power that each of us hold by being set apart as representatives of Christ and also discussed about no matter where we are from, what our education background might be, or our difference in cultural; we are the same and have been empowered with the same power and authority. Elder L. Whitney Clayton talked about the conversion of a person and how that conversion needs to be centered on the Savior and his atonement and not centered on the Missionary. They need to be converted to the Gospel and not the missionary. Elder D. Todd Christofferson discussed “The Spirit of Prophecy” and “The Spirit of Revelation”. What an in depth and very powerful lesson of the spirits role in our work. They whole meeting was such a boost for me and it couldn’t have come at a more important stage in my mission.
