Digging Deep

This past week was just what I needed to really dig deep and realize the great importance of just why I am here. It was nothing less than yet another work load of a week but by being immersed in the work, it helps to keep me focused on what’s really important.
Yesterday we had interviews with President Perez. During the meeting I was assigned to give training and I chose to talk about “Personal Revelation” and “Being an Inspired Missionary”. I love the chance to prepare trainings because I always end up learning more than those that I actually teach. While I was preparing my training I had a sound reminder of the Importance of this Work and that it is truly the Lords. This is the Lords work and we have to allow that he guides it through worthy and faithful servants. Our ability to receive revelation and the courage to follow it is the key to success not only in the mission but also in Life. I felt really good about my training, by helping the Elders gain their full potential is what makes being a leader really rewarding.
Talking with President Perez I was able to feel the peace and comfort that I have been searching for over the past couple of weeks. He gave me a very special bit of advice and counsel. He discussed how the last three transfers of an Elder are actually the three most important transfers of his entire mission. The way we apply ourselves and work is a direct reflection of the rest of our lives. Our work ethic, our people skills, everything!!! He was more than pleased with our zones efforts this past month, we are once again raising the bar of success, not only in our zone but also in the mission. I trust in President Perez so much and value every little bit of counsel he gives me. He is truly called of God to direct the North Mission and what a blessing it is for me to be able to rub shoulders with him and to also have his trust to carry out his vision.
