Baptisms and Bruins!!

This past week Elder Quiroga and I had two baptisms. We baptized a girl by the name of Fressilla (18 years old) and a young man named Jorge (13 years old) We kind of had a panic because we told our Ward Mission Leader that he needed to organize the service and prepare the font and everything and he agreed to do it. Come Friday morning we decided to check in on him to make sure everything was going to be ready for that night and he told us that he had forgotten everything and that he didn’t have time. We rushed to the chapel and cleaned the font and got it filled. The Baptismal service went great and my favorite part of a baptismal service is when we invite our converts to come to the front at share their testimonies. Jorge has such a strong testimony, it was great listening to it. He is the only member in his family but we are working really hard with his dad so that he can be baptized as well. Oh and get this Jorge’s dad was wearing a pair of shorts the last time we talked to him but guess where these shorts came from.



They were Twin Falls High School Football Shorts, like from their spirit pack! They said Twin Falls Bruins Football. I was like what the heck! and told him that those shorts came from my town!!! It was really funny, small world huh!
